Why Video Marketing Works If You Do This One Key Thing
IF I asked you this question, “do you think that if you had a sales video at No 1 on Google Page One for a keyword you would receive floods of traffic to your sites?†You would probably answer, “hell, yeah, of course,†right?
Wrong.
I heard it through the grapevine from a marketer recently, who held an event last month I London that someone had ranked a video at Number One on Page One for a very competitive keyword in a very competitive niche, and do you know what happened?
He had traffic, but, surprisingly, made no sales - why?
What’s the moral of the story?
Here it is...
People bust a gut to try to get to Number One on Google on Page One for their chosen keyword/s.
But, they forget to implement a key ingredient into their marketing campaigns, especially when it’s a video marketing campaign.
What do you think that is?
IT’S THE CALL TO ACTION!
Yes, you can have the most fantastic, professional video with amazing graphics, amazing flash, etc, but, if you do not tell the people what to do after they have watched the video, then, they will simply leave and go off to do something else.
And you have lost a sale, and a long-standing customer, especially if you haven’t managed to obtain their email address to connect with them again and again first.
This is one of the main reasons why people who have videos on page one of Google aren’t making sales with their videos.
Just one tweak like this, and the sales will come...
Make sure you OVER EMPHASISE what the person has to do after watching the video.
Give them no excuse not to know what to do, and then they will do it.
For example, if you are doing a face to face video you can use your hands to physically point down to say what they need to do.
Next you need to tell them not just to “click the link below†but tell them where they are going after that, and what they will get when they reach the new web page.
You even have to go further and tell them what will happen at the next web page and what they have to do at the next web page.
Keep your customer satisfied, and guide them through the entire process.
The more you help, the more you will get in return.
Believe it ot not, not everyone will know how to even click on to watch a video - so if you are writing an article and then you don’t tell them to “click the link to watch the video at the end,†then they won’t click the link to watch the video.
This is why video marketing works, only if you make sure you make the CALL TO ACTION clear...
