Uncover the Key Component of Every Viral Video

What makes a video go viral? That is the question that every marketer asks themselves at some point or other - especially after they realize the full potential of viral videos. Needless to say, if you know exactly what it takes to create a viral video, you're going to find yourself on the brink of being able to tap into one of the most powerful forces on the internet.
But frankly, that is easier said than done. The truth is that if you were to spend hours and hours thinking about and dissecting every viral video you could find, you'd probably find yourself at a dead end. Viral videos come in so many shapes, forms and sizes that there really doesn't seem to be any single factor that connects them - except one. This one factor is, in all honesty, the key component of every viral video.
At the end of the day, the one component that every viral video needs is appeal.
That may sound simplistic and slightly disappointing - but it is true. In order for a video to go viral it needs to be something that people feel compelled to share, and in order for anyone to feel compelled to share anything, it has to appeal to them on some level or other. Depending on the group of people that you're targeting (i.e. your target market), the things that appeal to them are bound to differ - but if you know your target market well enough you should be able to brainstorm and come up with some ideas.
For example, if you're involved in the dog training niche, then a video that shows your dog performing some amazing tricks will definitely hold a lot of appeal. The more amazing the tricks, the more the appeal, and the greater the chance that the video will go viral. Similarly, if you're in the gizmos and gadgets niche then a showcase of some truly unique and exciting gadgets might be able to generate the same type of appeal as well.
Anything and everything that is able to appeal to a big enough crowd of people has the potential of going viral. As the link is passed along, you'll find that more and more people visit your video - which is exactly the point. Of course, just because you 'think' that a certain video idea has a lot of appeal, it doesn't actually mean that this will come to pass.
In fact, a lot of the success or failure of your viral video is whether or not the video is of high enough quality production wise in order to bring out the appeal that is contained within it. Naturally, this is a question of your ability to create high quality videos - and that is something that only you can truly answer!
