I have a large collection of videos that I have recorded throughout the years using a camcorder. I would like to figure out a way to convert them into a couple of different formats but I am not quite sure what I need to do it. I am not one of those people who are that technology savvy, so of course I asked someone who is and who better to ask than a teenager! I sought some advice from my technology guru, my niece Anna. My savvy niece said that what I need is a mac converter, or she may have called it a mac movie converter. Either way, she assures me that it is easy to use and that she can help me out. So I guess that what I should say is that I am currently looking for a program that will function as a mac converter program so that I can use it to convert my home movies that I uploaded to my computer into DVDs that I can watch with my whole family.
I would also like to have the ability to share the movies online. Again, I consulted my niece and she assures me that a mac movie converter could be used to convert the footage into many different formats. She tells me that there are apps available to burn DVDs from the footage, and also to create multiple methods of digital sharing. She mentioned that I can convert video footage into formats that will show on Youtube, and also that they can be made compatible with the iPhone and iPad as well. This would be terrific! I have family all over the country and I know that they would enjoy watching some of this footage as much as I do but I do not want to have to create costly DVDs for each of them and have to deal with shipping them all over the United States. Since I know that some of them have iPhones, but others do not I need to find something that can convert to different formats as I know that Flash and Windows Media do not work in all formats.
My dear niece assures me that mac movie converter is easy enough to use and that after a few tutorial lessons from her, I will be converting, editing and posting like a pro. I am so excited to be able to finally share these movies with my family. Several of them feature family members who are no longer with us and I think it will be a fabulous surprise for the whole family to be able to enjoy these gems. I guess I need to start collecting email addresses of my extended family so that I can inform them of my “surprise†as soon as I get them all converted. I am excited not only to be creating these videos for everyone, but also to be learning about a new piece of technology that can hopefully serve me in the future as well!
