A Home Surveillance Video System You Can Afford

You Can Afford a Home Surveillance Video System Every morning as I walked out of my home, I turned my back on my most important investment - my family and my home. I could not afford the cost of installation, hardware and maintenance of a Home Surveillance Video System. I took the chance that my "BEWARE OF DOG SIGN" would deter intruders. Maybe it has worked or I've been just plain lucky.
I do live in a remote area and have no neighbors to alert me to suspicious activity. A home surveillance video system would add peace of mind and security. My fantasy was to setup a camera and have the ability to see any activity around my home...from deer in my front yard to unwelcomed visitors. On the lighter side I have come home to a house in shambles not because of intruders but due to the adventures of my cat and dog. I can't imagine what kind of games went on while I was gone.
Now, I've found the solution. I can view what's going on at my home with my cell phone or my work computer. You can too! You can keep an eye on your home by installing a home surveillance video system yourself. All you need is your home computer and an inexpensive Web Cam to stream your home surveillance video.
Doing it yourself you can choose 2 ways for your home surveillance video system. You can spend as little as $29 to "the sky's the limit". I am going to focus on 2 home surveillance video systems:
* The Easy Home Surveillance - for $30
* The Logitech WiLife Home Surveillance Video System at approximately $300.
The Easy Home Surveillance -Video System is a Step by Step guide on setting up a camera or cameras with no monthly maintenance fees. All you need is:
* Your Web cam to stream video
* Your computer
* The free software with this guide
* An Internet connection to view remotely to the web or your cell phone.
This guide does provide you with access to free Video Surveillance software and instructions on how to view your web cam from your cell phone. You can monitor your web cam from your computer, remote PC or Cell Phone. It is an excellent guide. You can't go wrong for the price.
Price around $30
If you don't mind spending the money and don't have a Web Cam, my next choice would be:
The Logitech WiLife. It comes with:
* An indoor wireless video camera
* All the home video surveillance software you need to get up and going.
You can add up to a total of six cameras and monitor them from your computer or remote PC or Cell phone. It does come with a basic camera and a USB receiver to plug into an electrical socket. Put your camera or cameras in place and plug them into the nearest wall. WiLife moves video from the cameras to the receiver (and then onto your PC) over household electrical wires.
Price around $300
You can't go wrong with either one of these video surveillance systems if you are looking to monitor your home inexpensively and have Peace of mind. For the price an excellent choice is The Easy Home Surveillance for $30. If money is not an object and you want to do it yourself the Logitech WiLife Home Surveillance is an excellent starter system for just under $300. Both will immediately get you up and running.
